Cowboy Dressage
Michelle got involved with Cowboy Dressage in 2012 when, while writing an article for the USEF Western Dressage Blog, she first interviewed Eitan Beth-Halachmy at the International Centered Riding Symposium. Fascinated and intrigued, Michelle introduced Cowboy Dressage to the Inland Northwest in subsequent articles published in Horse Previews Magazine. Michelle is a recognized Cowboy Dressage Professional holding "Ambassador" status and taught Cowboy Dressage at Relational Riding Academy. The first Inland Northwest Cowboy Dressage Gathering was held in Colville Washington in 2014, a joint effort with Slide Creek Arena. Annual shows were held in 2015, 16 and with 2017 held at RRA. She coached the HEART Cowboy Dressage Drill Team and the team traveled to attend Cowboy Dressage World Finals in Sacramento CA to perform at opening ceremonies in 2015, 2016 and 2017. In 2015, Michelle was gifted a silver Appreciation Buckle by the Cowboy Dressage Partners for her role in promoting and supporting the discipline. Riders in the RRA Cowboy Dressage Program have earned multiple CD World Finals awards including World Champion WJL Youth, Rose R; World Finals Reserve Youth Champion, Destiny O., and Judges Choice winners Jaylynn N and Mary H.
